After it was axed, Cartoon Network revived the grownup cartoon and has allowed it to exist in the pop culture realm for what looks as if an eternity. Fox also did not like the unique pilot, so it aired the episodes out of order. Fox canceled "Firefly" after 14 episodes had been filmed, but solely eleven have been ever aired.
